I’ve been a permanent mail voter for 6 years now. That being said, I’ve only actually “mailed” my ballot in once during that time and it was an off year with little on the ballot.

In San Diego County you can drop off the mail in ballots at the polls or do what I do, drop them off at the Registrar of Voters. They have people in the parking lot, you drive up hand them the ballot they check to make sure you signed the envelope, drop it in a bin, and hand you an “I voted” sticker.

If something like this was implemented everywhere, Tang the Incompetent’s jerking around with the USPS wouldn’t matter. Even if you had to drop it off at bins at the polls, it wouldn’t require standing around in lines for too long risking getting The ‘Vid™
