I get your reply, but it takes things further than the purchase. Certainly there are guns that are so rare they are not fired. I myself don’t equate public paid & built roads with privately owned and run shooting ranges. Annual car registration is just a tax. It has nothing to do with safety or knowing who owns the car.
Insurance might be a good idea, but we have no right to bear a car. Gets a little dicey in the law. Hunting of course does require a license, tags, and usually training like the Hunter Safety class.
