This pertains to questioning as a part of some investigation.

What I’m talking about is an incident report that I assume cops are obligated to file as a part of their job. Since any shooting may lead to a potential prosecution, that would mean - if you are right - that no shooting reports are ever filed. Which sort of contradicts the whole purpose of the existence of the police, given that absence of such reports is hardly compatible with law & order.
