If you are not required to say your a dem, maybe don’t do so. See if you still get mysteriously cut off.

By saying I am a Democrat, it lets me know if they are truly interested in all their constituents or just Republican voters. Cutting me off lets me know the real deal here.

If the line was dropped once, I could chalk it up to a technical problem or whatnot. When it happens every time, that looks a bit more like screening callers for the ones they like.

The way these phone town halls work is they record the caller and play back the call for the senator or representative. Therefore everyone listening hears the exact statement or question from the caller from their own mouth.

It is not censorship (by a strict definition), but letting the listeners only hear others parroting their views through questions seem like a good way to appear that Nebraska is one monolith of Republican voters.

That said, Senator Sasse did mention Representative Brad Ashford (D) by name, but only in the sense you could vote him out if you didn’t like what he stands for.
