re: #98 Occasional Reader

Sorry. It did not live up to the (IMHO) audacious, refreshing “reboot” of Casino Royale.

I really enjoyed Casino Royale. Great characters and an interesting plot, plus lots of action while keeping the gadgetry to a minimum. Bond came across as a lot more human, too; having your balls beaten to a bloody red pulp by the villain doesn’t exactly scream “Suave, debonnair and invincible.” Although as I recall, in the book Bond was forced to sit on a seatless stool pipe, not a bottomless chair. I guess there are still some limits when it comes to ratings.
