John McCain ran in 2008, at the age of 72.

Many people said he was too old to occupy the Oval Office.

Ron Paul is now 76.

Just sayin’.

With McCain, I was afraid he might die in office.

With Paul, I’d be sort of hoping.

Yes, that’s sick.

Actually, I wasn’t that worried about McCain’s age, until he tapped Palin. Yes, he’s an older man, and his life has not been easy on his body, to say the least, but if he’d chosen a good VP candidate, I would have said, go for it.

Then I had this nightmarish fantasy of him taking the oath of office, clutching his chest and keeling over…next scene, Palin, taking the oath…wearing black.
