I bet they thought they’d have a bona fide hurricane by now when they set that up. I’m just grateful this (so far) looks like a storm that will fall short of damaging or fatal. I’m sure the critics will say he was crying wolf, when we just might be lucky.

Best wishes to all on the gulf coast. Hopefully, like our smallish earthquakes recently it’s just good practice for how to react or prepare.

Sounds a lot like about a year ago when the hurricane threatened the East Coast, got massively played up, but then fell short of devastating New York City or Philadelphia. Though there was a lot of flooding damage from the storm surge and wind damage in outlying locales that the media essentially ignored.

Another reminder that the media doesn’t want your eyes and ears in order to make you informed. They want them so that they can then sell advertising.
