Buckingham Palace is only worth 5 million dollars? That doesn’t seem like a whole lot compared to some of the estates we have over here….

She doesn’t own it and its the “official royal residence” in London with a state function although you’d think it more valuable, wouldn’t you? Filled w/major art pieces, etc and has 775 rooms. Basically, like most castles, it’s an historical bldg and probably requires a lot of upkeep.

The royal family does own Sandringham House on 20K acres. Balmoral Castle, another residence, is owned by a Trust but used as a private residence for the royals.

I don’t really know where that $5M number came from. It did seem really low. It’s really around $5 Billion.

I suppose when you get up in that territory, it’s pretty hard to keep a price on the lid of anything.
