And if I was on the jury, I would go with the defense on this part. I think a charge related to hitting or near hitting the cop would be a mistake. Even a failure to stop kind of charge could be countered with he was going to fast and this was his safest option.

I hope all these guys go to prison for a very, very long time. But throwing stuff at them that gives a defense any wins is a mistake in my eyes.

He was going so fast because he apparently fled a lawful traffic stop. Earlier in the video, there’s a MRAP behind him and he’s come to a complete stop. He hits the gas and keeps on going after that.
