Unfortunately, just editing the URL doesn’t help. When Twitter displays embedded tweets, they use something called an “iframe,” which actually displays a page from their website, and it’s that page that contains all the tracking stuff I referred to.

So when I get a tweet by directly going to the account (like I did with NWS Cheyenne’s tornado watch above) or this one, that tracks either to here or to me (without an account there)?
