re: #106 allegro

I happened across a mosque yesterday while driving in an area of Houston yesterday for the first time. It was absolutely stunning architecture with golden minarets. It was feast for the eyes and I appreciated its beauty, standing out as it did in a otherwise dull and rather depressed area. What happens inside is of no more concern to me than what happens inside any other church.

I remember touring rural Spain and being absolutely outraged by the towering, magnificent, gold-clad churches standing out like sore thumbs in each poor little impoverished village. Was it kind of like that?
