Appears there may be a chance it was suicide. Apparently Stephen Rakes was told on Tuesday he would not be called to testify against Bulger. According to sources, he was “devastated” when he heard he wouldn’t be a witness.

Though, sources are also saying he was found with no keys, wallet, ID and his car is still missing.

Whitey doesn’t have the type of reach anymore with the old Mass/ Rhode Island mafiosa to author a hit. All those that were in his “gang” are either dead, in jail, or out of the life. The ones that are still in would rather of seen Bulger still on the lamb or now that he’s caught, be put away forever. Thus they would WANT all “witnesses” around to testify

I’m guessing suicide on this one
