Somebody on an FB thread about the Empire State Building lighting up green for Eid wrote “Of course they wouldn’t do that for Christian Holidays!”

It took all of 10 seconds to find the Empire State Building’s calendar of commemorative lighting. Easter, Christmas, Chanukah. Of course. I went off on her. I cannot STAND that kind of lazy-ass, ‘Oh, poor persecuted me!” bullshit. WTF is wrong with people like that? I mean really?

Some people just want to be persecuted victims. It’s like when they whine about “Happy Holidays”. That one really gets me at how pointlessly whiny it is. Really the idea that Christians are persecuted in this country is such a stupid joke.
