I am actually feeling bad for Cersei this season and I hate that.

That’s one thing the show has done, blur the lines somewhat between good and bad characters, over time, make formerly reviled characters somewhat sympathetic as they face different situations and other ambiguous characters. The Lannisters are a case in point. Even Little Finger.

Another show I watched was Banshee (Cinemax), which I also didn’t start watching until it had been on for a few seasons. It’s set in the modern day but was similar to GoT in many ways with the alliances, ambiguity of the characters. Really pushed the envelope with the violence and gratuitous sex. But I got into it after a bit.
