there was another equally disturbing report from a bio-scientist that i heard immediately after the failure of the wellhead, which is this: the gulf biosystem is the starting point of the chain of events that produces what is by far the largest source of oxygen for this planet. if the spill gets bad enough to wipe out the gulf ecosystem, we will all suffocate
