re: #132 RogueOne

From there I found out that all the direct males in my bloodline lived to almost 90 (unless they died in an accident) and none of them had kids before they were 30. Kind of weird.

Weird, but not uncommon. My father, his father, his father… all married women 10 to 12 years younger than they, and fathered children in middle age. Well, except grandpa, who being a good farmer plowed the field every year (ahem…) and had with his wife many children, a few who died in childhood.

Genealogy is interesting. You could follow up on all your lineages, as you have 16 great great grandparents. I think I have records of 3 of my 16. There is no telling what you will find. And the stories you will uncover. For example, also forgotten by me was that my grandfather almost didn’t make it (as a boy in the 19th century) to America as his ship was damaged by ice in a fjord at the start of the trip.

You never know what you’ll find.
