In unrelated news, I picked out some gift boxes from Penzey’s for my MIL for Christmas. I need to push a few more buttons but the Christmas shopping for that side is pretty much complete.

The only holiday shopping I need to do is for my wife and my mother. (There are advantages of living in a small family.)

On the other hand, I need to get on mailing cards out to everyone in the village. (I’ve done that since I moved here - I could probably walk them around personally in town in about an hour, but everyone likes to get a card in the mailbox - and it supports the local post office we fought so hard to save).
