I go to the office for the last time and turn in my teleworking gear and that ends 41 years 11 months and 2 days at their Los Angeles Teleservice Center…and I now have to wait for the civil service pension to start interim payments in 8 weeks.

Glad I have the rainy day fund…

Usually the check for your unused A/L will come to you sooner. I got that check in about 3 weeks. The CSRS retirement checks started in about a month later.

For me, retirement direct deposits are due on the first of the month. Prior to Diaper Don they were deposited every first of the month, weekends, week days, or holidays. Diaper Don had them delayed to the first workday after the first of the month. With Joe in charge, the deposits arrive 1 or 2 days early when the first is on a weekend or holiday. When the R’s threatened to shut down the govt, Joe had the deposits sent 3-4 days early so Govt retirees had some funds before any potential shutdown.

Just another small reason Joe is a good POTUS
