Attracting people to the Mac as a gaming platform.

I’m damn near a walking advertisement for PC gaming and for Windows in general, since both my laptop and phone are Windows based and my console gaming is done on the XBox 360. I have no idea how to do this.

Yes… pressure… although I am not an active game player, I don’t even associate the Mac as having anything to do with gaming. Why… personal opinion, when I think of how the Mac has been marketed over the years, or at least the marketing that stuck with me, it’s been how the Mac is the platform for desk top publishing, graphics and such.

Games don’t even come to mind.

Now, the Ipod Touch, Iphone and Ipad seems to have more association with gaming than the desktop Mac’s. There are thousands of game apps available for those platforms, from the very simple to what I consider rather complex and amazing.

Honestly, I don’t think I could bullshit my way into creating a marketing campaign tooting the Mac as a gaming platform.

Maybe that’s why I’m not in marketing.
