So, the new Tom Cruise movie was pretty good.

No spoilers, but anyone who knows anything about it already knows it’s “Groundhog Day vs. Aliens.” A lot of humor in it as well, and the funny spots were well-placed.

I wasn’t certain I wanted to pay theater prices to see it, but I found a local plex that charged $4.25 for matinees, so, yeah. Good deal.

It might sound weird, but I honestly think what convinced me to go this afternoon was this one-liner from Rob Thomas, one of the movie critics complied at rottentomatoes.com:

If you like Tom Cruise, then you will like “Edge of Tomorrow,” and if you don’t like Tom Cruise, then you will like it even more.
