The problem for the US regarding an Israeli strike on Iran is Iraq. If we allow Israeli aircraft to overfly Iraq, the political blowback in that country will be nothing short of massive. The Iraqi people may have found things to like about America, but they remain rabid Jew-haters.

get some tankers up there and some decent ordnance and take the long way around….maybe say hello to Syria on the way back
