If there’s enough legitimate serious candidates to eliminate the obvious loons within the first couple of debates, the rest can be used to let candidates react to breaking news; I’d like to know how which of my potential presidents measure their response while waiting for more info, and which just fly off the handle.

In the GOP debates, ‘fly off the handle’ wins every time.
