As far as I know, we still elect our governments here, if they act against our interest, we have the power to vote them out.

The people who occupy positions in the government display the same traits of self-interest, greed and short-sightedness as the constituents who vote for them.

That is why voters must be vigilant and conscious of what they are doing and constantly remind them that these people are serving there with our express consent.

I just get worried when the government is made out to be such a threat to our basic freedoms that it justifies acts of violence or threats of violence to curgb it. That sentiment has been growing steadily here over the past decade. And Fox is one of its voices.
