The rational policy response is to try to alleviate wealth and income inequality because who needs this shit where a few dozen rich guys own half the country.

The irrational policy response is to sell pipe dreams of fabulous wealth to impressionable rubes.

That’s the rational policy if you are one of the few dozen people who own half the country. You can always hire half your enemies to kill off the other half if you have enough money.
