Well, as a father of an 11-week-old daughter, I hope you’re right. So back to Trump. You’ve known him a long time going back to your Miss America years, what did you think when he announced he was running?

I was one of the very few journalists who said not only will he be the Republican nominee, he will be president of the United States.

What made you think that?

Trump is a master marketer and that was always apparent to me in his appearances with me on Fox & Friends. On the show he would say, Well you know The Apprentice is the No. 1 show on television. And I would say live on the air, No it’s not. And he would say, Yes it is. And people at home would think, Well, I should watch the No. 1 show on television. And before you know it he had the No. 1 show on television. It’s indicative of how he won the presidency.
