If anyone’s looking for some cheap entertainment, Disney has a new series out on their streaming service called American Born Chinese. It’s a crossover between a kung fu/Chinese mythology action show, and a campy teenage high school drama show. It guest stars Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, among others, and it’s a delightful mix of serious takes on racism and high school bullying and cheesy over-the-top kung fu.
