re: #124 HappyWarrior
Heh. I need to learn more but I think he was by far the most moderate Dem of the Maryland delegation. He doesnât strike me as a bad guy but a guy who doesnât stand out either.
I had to sign in to share my impression of Delaney. Heâs been hanging around South Carolina for about 2 years in his big presidential run. He and I took an instant dislike to each other the first time I met him when he was the speaker at our county fund-raising dinner in 2017. He was droning on to me about how domestic/financial issues are whatâs important, and that bi-partisanship should be stressed more than any progressive goals. I immediately noted that Democrats were able to walk and chew gum. He was not impressed. (Nor was I with him.)
He then came to our state convention last year and for some reason sponsored a donut wall. (Donât ask.)
I find him boring, uninspiring and quite condescending when he speaks (although he tries to present himself as an âaw shucksâ regular guy.) Iâd put him in whatever the lowest tier of possibilities would be.
Oh, and this is how forgettable he is. I just came across a photo of a group of us with him in center and I have no recollection of when or where it was takenâor if itâs even him in the picture or some other guy who looks like him. YawâŚzzzzzzzzzzzz.
