I was just watching a news report that claimed that lots of Indonesians support Russia vs. Ukraine (apparently there’s a lot of Russian propaganda videos floating around there). They see it as an East vs West thing and are happy to think Putin is standing up to the West.

Whatever the outcome of this war, it will be the first stage of Russia turning away from the West and establishing a new non(anti) Western coalition. Russia would rather be a larg(er) frog in that pond than just sitting in the loser’s corner at the Western political/economic party
