Emmie, I think it’s more than just hating babies. It sounds like he’s one of those folks who pretty much hates humans altogether.

He sees the world as being damaged beyond what is natural, and blames humans for that damage. What he doesn’t understand is catastrophe is cyclical and necessary for the grand evolutionary experiment. Nothing we can do to it will destroy the Earth, it will always recover. What we can do is destroy ourselves, which is what we are really good at and are doing on a scale never seen before in human history.

If he wants humans to disappear, all he needs to do is wait.

We’ll either destroy ourselves, or we’ll smarten up. In either case, the Earth and its biosphere will recover over geologic time and plod on.
