I can see these guys thinking it’s HIGH-larious that the black guy walks out, giving them an opportunity to go “I can say knickers! Can’t I? Heheheh!” dramatically.

I’m not sure that’s what happened, but I actually have no doubt that people weird enough to do this show (and that gag) would think it added to their schtick.
