It’s entirely coherant: The object of confrontation is to demonstrate your own strength, show the enemy up as the asshole he is, and then damage him in whatever lawful ways present themselves. Its about taking power and purging the anger I would feel.

See, this, to me, is incoherent. Or rather: Why is this your attitude towards the Guardian, but not to the creationists and AGW deniers in the GOP? How are they not ‘the enemy’ to you?

Everything you’re talking about is in (frankly nutso sounding) emotional terms. How do you determine who ‘the enemy’ is?
