When I was a kid the ice cream truck didn’t play a tune, the ice cream man had a little bell that he rang as he drove down the street.

When my kids were growing up, the ice cream truck played “The Honking Song”

There was another truck that played “The Sting.”

I think these trucks have loudspeaker systems that offer a selection of different tunes. Some are more annoying than others.

We didn’t have ice-cream trucks. We walked to the neighborhood “Isaly’s”, inventors of the Klondike.

We did have block ice delivered to the icebox, at times by horse-cart.
