DT knows that he can shut down the government, blame it on the minority party and get away with it. So he will. And a majority of his supporters will believe what he tells them.

When does it stop mattering whether or not his dimwitted supporters believe everything Trump says? At some point in time, this won’t matter as his actions have severe consequences for his party and the country.

I assume that George W. Bush had his hardcore supporters until it became obvious that his policies had caused horrendous damage both here and abroad. Bush was so toxic by the time he left office that he hasn’t even been allowed to attend RNC conventions.
