He ran for his old US House seat, and won (defeating Stephen Colbert’s sister, Elizabeth Colbert Busch), in a special election after Nikki named Tim Scott to Jim DeMint’s senate seat. He ran unopposed in 2014 and won again in 2016, but was ousted in this year’s primary by a Trump fanatic.
