I’m starting to doubt he had any intention of selling the documents, or using them as leverage. Reflecting on Trump Employee 2’s comment about “the beautiful mind paper,” I am now mostly convinced that he kept the documents, not for any specific advantage they might confer, but because they reminded him of (in his mind) his best moments as President - memories of things he was proud of. He wants to remember that heady feeling of being invincible, the most powerful man in the world, literally everybody hanging on every single word he says.

Except has anyone determined exactly why the Saudis gave Jared $2 billion? We know Trump revealed top secret information to the Russians at the beginning of his administration. He is motivated by financial interests above all and it is logical to consider that he was selling this information.
