As a bankruptcy lawyer, I can tell you that it’s highly unusual for the U.S. government to dictate a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing which prefers the rights of one group of creditors over others, unless all creditors and other parties in interest agree. Congress could amend the bankruptcy statute to change that, but that hasn’t happened.

Depending on how this is done, it may be unconstitutional. That’ll be interesting to watch.

Well I don’t know anything legal about these things and I am sure you are right. But you could have seen this coming a mile away from Obama. This is pay back time. I hope he gets called on this.
