Some very extreme homophobes simply seem too fascinated with homosexuality. One recurrent theme I find fascinating is the guys who claim that if homosexuality is permitted by society, no one will be straight, and the population/family structure/etc. will plummet. I find this interesting, in that it seems to suggest that in their minds, no one is straight without social coercion.

I wonder whether they don’t have some polymorphous perversion, to use the old and discredited term. This could explain their fascination with that which they claim to abhor, and yet find attractive, as just a particularly boring paraphilia with neurotic fixation.
