Pawlenty and his cohorts have helped redefine the GOP as the party of no, the party of anti-science, the party of hate, the party of No New or Better Ideas Here, the party prone to wild exaggeration, the party of childish fits on the floor, the party of hypocritical, sanctimonious fundies.

Since that’s a mouthful, and religious right and far right extremists take too many keystrokes, I’m now simply referring to the party en masse as fundies, since it’s the fundies with the reins firmly in their grasp. There are too few gems left to make the distinction any longer; a shitpile of bad apples stinking the place up like a ****house at low tide. Witness the American Taliban.
