Confession: the first time I saw a woman fully covered in a burka-like garment was many years ago, and I thought it was just a nun in a really strange habit.

Heh, yeah, the nail polish part cracked me up. ;o)

Back in TX it wasn’t unusual to have people who’d never seen hijab before mistake me for a nun, especially since I usually wear a black scarf (because I smoke and am accident prone with my coffee—a lighter color would be disastrous).
