I am reminded just how horrible some humans on the Internet really are, and how often I don’t speak about things because I know where I wouldn’t be able to deal with it.

And then I get to watch people say that other women are lying about the harassment they face and just trying to be professional victims. And I really have to wonder what world they’re living in.

They’re living in a world ruled by fear and hatred, and the only thing they know is that everyone and everything is out to get them. I’m branding it “Dark Christianity” and it mixes the worst parts of having a hero complex and a martyr complex - you think that you are the most important thing in the universe because Jesus, but that means that you have to suffer through a world filled with unspeakable evil, all of which is out to steal your “joy”.
