I have reservations about taking any Democrat or independent caucusing with the Democrats in the Senate when you need all those votes to hold a Senate majority. If you’ve got a chance to deplete the GOP numbers by picking off Collins or Murkowski, do that.

Take no D Senators for the cabinet. It makes no sense politically when you need to get legislation enacted ASAP for your agenda.
