Good point, I wouldn’t take thousands out though. A couple hundred max. I have various emergency cash cashes around my home and in my car. Not a lot, but enough to get some basic things if its a power-outage or earthquake problem rather than a civil war or downfall of civilization problem. I have a few gold and silver coins for the ultimate “in case shit…” I also keep a lot of bottled water around. I’m still working on building up the food situation though. A gun would be good too, I have that covered. I know it’s easier said than done to get a gun in Chicago though. Maybe you can go over to Hammond or Gary for that if you think you need to.
