“Butthurt”, used as an adjective, describes the emotional condition of someone who has been proven wrong, disagreed with, or otherwise verbally ‘spanked’, and is smarting and resentful over it. I think. That’s how I would best describe its colloquial use around here.

i always thought it sorta referred to getting “broken in” as it were, in the shower room. It’s a funny and descriptive term, though.
