That is exactly what people should say when interviewed about Trump. Some Democrat should call him on his bigotry for bucks campaign and then we can watch that worm backpedal.

I don’t think the Democrats mind one bit. Birtherism (and the associated “Obama’s a Muslim” meme) alienates:

-African Americans (whose citizenship has questioned and denied time and again).
-Hispanics (who are often the children of first generation immigrants, married to first generation, or first generation parents of natural born citzens. They know the same smear will be run against them or their children if they have the audacity to run for president).
-Asians, Arabs, Africans and other immigrants communities (ditto)
-Muslims (try telling them that saying Obama’s a Muslim is in no way a smear).
-Independents and moderates who might be tempted to cross over tp the GOP.

Like Napolean said, never interrupt your opponent when he’s busy making a mistake.
