What’s ironic about him leading an organization that’s devoted to the nuclear family is the the nuclear family is a serious aberration of what has passed down from many societies. As Andrew Weil noted in one of his books when it came to Hispanic families vs. what we have accepted as a nuclear family, he recounted an encounter with a Hispanic family in a hospital setting vs. a nuclear family. What it eventually boiled down to was a simple statement from the matriarch of the hispanic family: “We have a family. You (non-hispanic) have a restrictive family.”
