re: #115 subsailor68
Okay, this is kind of a terrible story, but back in the early 70’s a chief petty officer and I were off the boat, taking in the sights in Honolulu.
A group of Japanese tourists, cameras and all, stopped us and one asked: “Scuse me, can you tell me where Arizona memorial is?”
The chief responded: “Right where you left it you bastards.”
Reminds me of my dad (RIP) and a few remaining WWII and Korea vets.
One of those stories that Clint Eastwood clearly explains in Gran Torino.
All those inclined to cry “racist” need to watch it.
I laughed my ass off.
I’m assuming the 68 refers to a time period in you nic.
