That, and there is, very simply, no case. Even to use as a fig leaf. This has been shown time again by numerous Republican judges, including Trump appointees, tossing out the lawsuits without further ado. No “there” there. SCOTUS would not be different, but since everything is that clear after that many cases at this point of time, it’s unlikely SCOTUS will even accept any such case for a review.

It’s not these law suits that concern me; it’s questions like: what if state level Republicans refuse to certify results or if GOP legislatures appoint a competing slate of electors (as happened in 1876). What if those are the decisions facing SCOTUS? An originalist interpretation of Article II may allow that to go forward.
