the cup dropped and then the soda was poured in
often the cup didn’t always drop into place

At least the soda tasted like the bottles.

Now the “coffee” machines that worked that way? Uhg. Even the instant coffee in the C rations tasted better than that nastiness.

We still have both kinds of machines here. You’d think with fifty years to improve the technology, they’d do so.
