Aaah, LVQ. Finally, someone who appreciates the Three Kingdoms period!

It was really an interesting age — I’d say even more interesting than the Arthurian legends. Much more complicated too, of course — A LOT of Chinese names (of people and locations) to remember (it’s been a while, so I vaguely remember that Liu Bei and Cao Cao were important guys).

The novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms is supposed to be this masterpiece that holds its own against the best of the Western Canon. The problem is that the story has hundreds of characters with Chinese names, so it’s hard to gather the courage to read the damn thing.
