Again, this is why I took the view last night that they are a bunch of tantruming children.

Granted, about 75% of that is the fact that I have loneliness-induced stress out the wazoo, and someone it going to get it dropped on them. They just happen to be the easy target at the moment.

Trying to reach out to people to people who said they would be there when I got here, and failing. And a few people and a Mosque see it as their mission to “correct” me. I feel like I am going to go insane.

I know I keep mentioning meeting up with fellow Democrats. You said things were slow because the primary is over, but there have to be Dem clubs and orgs.

When I moved down here, it was extremely lonely—and, because all of my work is out of state, there weren’t very many opportunities to interact with other people. Other than my next-door neighbor, I pretty much knew nobody until I hooked up with fellow Democrats. Went to some meetings and got involved. They were really welcoming (particularly here, where Dems are a rare, endangered species) and it was really easy to get involved. And trust me, they are really excited when young people show up!

I know it’s not the be all end all solution, but it might be worth a try.
